About Rachel

Trained to meet your child (and you) exactly where you are.

Portrait of Rachel Eisenberger, developmental therapist in Boca Raton

Rachel is a developmental therapist with specialized training in play therapy, DIR/Floortime-based intervention, and behavioral therapy. She has worked in a range of educational and therapeutic settings, including schools, private practice, and clinical programs, supporting children from infancy through adolescence.

She has experience addressing areas such as emotional regulation, social communication, peer interaction, behavioral challenges, and developmental delays, using play as the primary medium for engagement and growth. Her approach is child-centered, developmentally informed, and goal-focused, engaging and relationship-based, while still structured and intentional. Her work draws on Child-Centered Play Therapy (CCPT) and components of Synergetic Play Therapy, meeting each child and family exactly where they are, with congruence and attunement, so that parents feel comfortable and supported throughout the process.

Rachel integrates DIR/Floortime principles with evidence-based behavioral strategies to support meaningful skill development. Rather than focusing on rote skills, she looks at the underlying developmental needs driving behavior and uses guided play to build regulation, flexibility, communication, and functional independence. She values collaboration, working closely with parents, educators, and related professionals to ensure consistency and carryover of skills across home, school, and community settings.

As a mother of three, Rachel brings a practical, family-centered perspective to her work and understands the importance of supporting both children and caregivers throughout the therapeutic process. Her philosophy: every child is a world in themselves, rich with curiosity, strengths, and the capacity for growth.

You might be a great fit if...

A quick gut-check before you reach out, with no pressure either way.

  • Your child is between 0 and 12, and you're noticing big feelings, communication gaps, sensory sensitivities, or social struggles.

  • You want an approach that meets your child where they are, not one that pushes them to perform.

  • You're looking for practical, hands-on tools you can actually use at home, not just theory.

  • You want a warm, unhurried space, for your child and for yourself.

Services

Three ways we can work together

Ages 0-12Individual sessions

Play-Based Intervention

One-on-one sessions that use play, a child's first and most natural language, as the foundation for growth. Drawing on DIR/Floortime and child-centered play therapy principles, I meet your child exactly where they are, follow their lead, and build the skills that follow from there. Sessions are individualized: no two children work on the same thing in the same way.

How it works

  1. 1. An intake conversation to understand your child.
  2. 2. Five one-on-one play sessions.
  3. 3. A parent meeting to review progress, set goals, and decide together how to move forward.

We continue until the goals are met, then terminate.

$100 per session

Parent Workshop

An interactive, hands-on workshop for parents who want to feel steady, capable, and connected in the actual, everyday moments of raising a child, not just in theory. Across three sessions, you'll practice real strategies in real time, so they're ready to use the next time you need them.

  1. See It Differently

Understanding what's underneath your child's behavior

  2. Try It On

Hands-on practice with new tools, together, in the room

  3. Make It Yours

Building a toolkit that actually fits your family

Ages 4-7, grouped by age6-part small group program

Social Skills Group

A small group where kids practice social skills the way they learn best: by doing. Over six sessions, children get hands-on tools and real practice making friends, sharing space, taking turns, and handling big feelings alongside peers close to their own age. Groups are kept small and grouped by age band so every child gets real airtime.

Six weekly sessions

  1. Feeling identification and emotional literacy: naming what they feel

  2. Body awareness and self-regulation tools: calming strategies they can use anywhere

  3. Initiating play and handling rejection: how to ask to join, and what to do if the answer is no

  4. Sharing and turns: cooperative play skills

  5. Practicing it all with peers: real play, real problem-solving

  6. A culminating session where they use everything together

$60 per session, six sessions total ($360)
